I am currently a PhD candidate at the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada in the department of Integrative Biology. My research focuses on helping to build resilience into northern food systems through providing information on sustainable, community based agriculture. I am passionate about about helping to improve food security by producing food in a way that is environmentally sustainable. To that end, I seek to understand the impact of agricultural cultivation on soil biogeochemical cycles and carbon stocks in the Boreal Forest.
